Our client, an established bakery company has an immediate vacancy
Reporting to the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in coaching staff throughout the production
- Ensure that all standards are met and kept according to recipes, presentation and preordained portion size
- Activate and generate any changes in new products, menus promotion activities
- Assist in determining the quantity of food to be purchased & prepared
- Exercise maximum control on wastage and achieve optimum profitability
- Assist in conducting any relevant training for new menus dishes
- Provide on-the-job training for the bakery and kitchen staff
- Ensure hygiene and sanitation standards and SOP are met at all times.
- Keep discipline and proper work practices of the team at all times
Prerequisites:
- Certification from a recognized culinary institution
- Min 2 years’ experience required in similar capacity in established organizations in kitchen production & operation
- Possess good teamwork and ability to lead and supervise
- PC literate with hands-on ability a plus
